5nine Software Achieves the Microsoft Gold Datacenter Competency

CHICAGO, IL (Oct. 29, 2015) 5nine Software, the leading global Hyper-V virtualization security and management provider, today announced it has attained a Gold Datacenter competency, demonstrating a “best-in-class” ability and commitment to meet Microsoft’s customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment and distinguishing itself within the top 1 percent of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.

To earn a Microsoft gold competency, partners must successfully complete exams (resulting in Microsoft Certified Professionals) to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects, implement a yearly customer satisfaction study, meet a revenue commitment, and pass technology and sales assessments.

With the Gold Datacenter competency 5nine Software will be able to deliver comprehensive architecture solutions on a robust, streamlined, and scalable Microsoft infrastructure platform that can run in the customer’s datacenter, as a partner-hosted service, in a private cloud, or in a hybrid environment.

“This Microsoft Gold Datacenter competency showcases 5nine’s expertise in and commitment to today’s current technical trends and demonstrates our deep integration with Microsoft and its products,” said Symon Perriman, VP of Business Development at 5nine Software. “5nine Software is proud to be a part of the Microsoft ecosystem and achieving the status of a Gold Datacenter partner.”

“By achieving a gold competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top 1 percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”

Microsoft’s infrastructure solutions are evolving into comprehensive architectures that deliver a robust, streamlined, and scalable platform that can run in the customer’s datacenter, as a partner-hosted service or in a hybrid environment. To reflect this evolution, in September 2014 Microsoft merged the Management and Virtualization and Server Platform competencies into a single competency called Datacenter. This new competency requires that partners have strong capabilities with Windows Server deployment and management – including Hyper-V virtualization – as well as Systems Center infrastructure management capabilities.

The Microsoft Partner Network helps partners strengthen their capabilities to showcase leadership in the marketplace on the latest technology, to better serve customers and to easily connect with one of the most active, diverse networks in the world with 640,000 Microsoft partners in their ecosystem.
