The 5nine Holiday Pledge to Demelza Hospice Care for Children
Here at 5nine we believe in the power and spirit of giving during the holiday season – and we’d like to focus our giving to Demelza Hospice Care for Children this year – but we need your help. If we can meet our goal of 6,000 new followers by Dec 31st at midnight, we pledge to donate $2,500 to Demelza. This special charity provides hospice care for children and are making the world a brighter place one smile at a time. We support #TeamDemelza and we hope you will too. Together we can make a difference!
Here’s how you can help. Simply follow us on one (or all) of our social channels below so we can make this happen! We have 4,500 more to go before Dec. 31 at midnight. Let’s do this!
What is Demelza Hospice Care for Children?
“There is no formula, everybody’s journey is unique.”
Demelza is a children’s hospice charity in the south east of the UK that provides needed, personalized services such as day care, 24-hour urgent response, symptom management support, end of life care, counseling, therapy and bereavement sessions free of charge to families in need, 24/7 365 days a year.
Their primary goal is to provide compassionate and expert care for babies, children, young people and their families; and to give families time to create precious moments and happy memories when they need it most. The organization’s name is dedicated to, and aspired by, Demelza Phillips, daughter of Derek and Jennifer Phillips, who died tragically from a brain tumor at the age of 24. With locations in Kent, South East London and East Sussex, Demelza carries out extremely important work for the community and families of all backgrounds.
The charity is supported by many wonderful (and well-known) individuals such as Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, Olympic gold medalist ice skater Jayne Torvill OBE, Justin Welby the Archbishop of Canterbury and many more – not to mention all the wonderful people in the local and international community who generously donate their time, money and skills to the organization.
